Third Grade Mrs. Gibson

Welcome to 3rd Grade!

I'm excited to have your child as a student in 3rd grade this year. I have been teaching 3rd grade at Saint Mary School for 15 years. I truly enjoy working with (and learning from) this age level. Third graders are enthusiastic about learning, researching, creating, and solving problems.

Third grade is a milestone year in many ways. Students begin to transition from the primary grades to upper elementary. Your child is going to develop the skills for becoming more independent. My goal is to help your child become a responsible and self-reliant learner while focusing on growing academically, socially, and spiritually.

A little bit about myself. I am married to Brian, who works at Corn Belt Power. We live south of Humboldt with our three kids. Carson is in 8th grade, Ava is in 6th grade, and Drew is in 1st grade. We have two dogs and a cat in our very busy household. As a family, we enjoy spending time outside. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, reading, and going on walks.

I feel that it is essential for parents and teachers to communicate and work together for students to succeed. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me by emailing me at

I’m excited about the opportunity to get to know your child, and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year.  With your cooperation and support, I know that we can make this the best year yet for your child!
